                September 16, 2007
By John Jordan - Director - Girlshoopscout

The Florida Southern event was full of some very talented young ladies from across the state featuring
several Division I, II and III level prospects. The camp featured many recruitable seniors but also had some very
good younger talent.

TOP SENIORS

The seniors were led by 6'1" 3 star,
Ashley Devries

from East Ridge HS in Clermont. Ashley is a long muscular aggressive post player with a nice shot out to 18".
A strong rebounder who will help the right low to mid major. Gardner Webb and North Florida have shown
interest but this young lady is flying under the radar screen right now.
Jenae Swann is a 6'1" 4/5 out of
Dunedin HS in Dunedin. She is athletic, active has a long reach and runs and jumps well. She has range out to
15'. A great D2 pickup right now but could well develop into a low to mid major. We rated her a 3 star.
Julia
Fraser
is a 6'2" long, athletic forward out of Valdosta HS in Valdosta, GA. She has the reach of a 6'4" or 6'5"
player and has great spring in her legs. A good shot blocker. She would be a very good D2 catch but could be
a good fit for the right D1 program looking for a promising tall, athletic project. 2 star
Chanele Patton is a
5'11" thick post out of Blake HS in Tampa. She is a great athlete and would be a great pick up for the right D2
program. 2 star,
Jackie English out of University Christian in Jacksonville is a 5'1" solid , quick point guard
who can go left or right and can finish with contact.
Alake Jackson is a 5'5" 2 star out of Cypress Creek HS in
Orlando. A very quick point who is a great defender and can go left or right. 2 star
Courtney Bell is a 5'10"
G/F out of Largo HS in Largo. She is athletic, a good rebounder and can play multiple positions. She also is a
great defender and can guard multiple positions. 2 star
Veronica Perry is a 5'11" thick 4/5 out of Lely HS in
Naples. She has long arms and plays much taller, an excellent rebounder.
Danielle Walsh is a 5'8" combo
guard out of New Smyrna Beach HS. She is a very fundamental player and an excellent 3 point shooter.

TOP JUNIORS

The junior class was led by a dynamo point guard in 5'3" lightning quick, left hander,
Samantha Perez

of Timber Creek HS in Orlando. This 3 star rated young lady showed an incredible floor presence and ability to
run a team. Has a great first step, defends well, penetrates and either kicks or can finish with contact. Decent
shooter both mid range and from the 3. Makes smart decisions. Will be an excellent pick up for a low to mid
major.

Rachel Brown is a 3 star  6'6" post out of Clearwater HS in Clearwater. She  is young in the game but is very
coachable and has a nice little shot out to 15'. With the right development this young lady has a chance to
contribute on the D 1 level. She is a project but a good project to have.

Victoria Howard 2 star  5'11" G/F from Lely HS in Naples. She has nice size, can handle the ball is long and
athletic. She also has quick feet. She does a lot of different things well and has the ability to attack the basket.
A great utility player who can play multiple positions.
Courtney St. Louis 2 star 5'10" G/F Indian Rock HS in
Largo. Another athlete who can play guard or forward with nice size. A very good rebounder who also has a
nice mid range jump shot.
Jardin McCarthy 5'8" PG 2 star out of Cape Coral HS in Cape Coral is a solid D2
point guard. She creates the assist, defends well and can shoot the ball from the mid range and 3 pt line.
J
ackie Licout is another 2 star  product out of Lely HS in Naples. The 5'10 guard has nice size and is an
excellent 3 point threat. Teammate
Stephanie Nell out of Lely is a 5'7" thick utility (G/F) with good size and a
great first step.

TOP UNDERCLASSMEN

The highest rated young lady in camp happened to be one of the
youngest. 9th grader, and 4 star rated
Danielle McCray is a 6'0 G/F out of Trinity Christian in Lake Worth.
This young lady is years beyond her age already. She is athletic, fast, skilled, has REAL post moves but also
can step out and handle the ball. She has lots of energy on both ends of the floor and has great foot work. She
has all the makings to becoming a great player. We feel she is mid to high major right now and may well
develop into a high major prospect. It is seldom that you see a player this young, this tall,  and this talented and
skilled. I would hate to be in the league with Trinity because in addition to the freshman sensation, they have
one of the top point guards in camp in 3 star,
Jamierra Faulkner a 5'4 sophomore athlete with a lightning
quick first step and a great outside shot. Another lightning quck point is sophomore, Alyssa Marie Hall a 5'2"
2.5 star out of East Bay in Gibsonton. She has a great first step and excellent leadership skills.
Arielle Durant
is a 5'9" 2 star sophomore G/F out of Lake Gibson HS in Plant City. She's a left handed strong utility type
player who can handle the ball with either hand and runs the floor well.
Marissa Cimino is a sophomore 5'6"
wing out of Pine Ridge HS in Deltona is athletic with a great first step and a great basketball IQ. A 3star
sophomore out of Tampa Catholic is 5'7" 2/3
Colette Eule. This young lady has great skills and is very
fundamental, she is also a deadly shooter.

NOTE ON RANKINGS - We rated every player in camp on a 1-5 basis, however after input from several parents we decided not to
post the rankings on the website. We will still send them out to the colleges but will not leavethem on the site. If you want to
