David Lipscomb University - Nashville, TN - September 23rd, 2007 Camp Highlight Report - By John Jordan - Director - Girlshoopscout.com The Lipscomb camp was full of some very talented players on all class levels. There were several players who stood out in this camp and we will try to make mention of many of them. TOP OF THEIR CLASS Jessie Clark '08 5'5" Hazel Green HS Hazel Green, AL is a feisty left handed point guard turned several heads during the day. The 2.5 star showed great 3 point range and a knack for attacking the basket. She also is a tough as nails defender. A solid quick and fundamental point who could really help a D2 but has the court presence that might attract the right low to mid major. 3 star Julia Fraser '08 6'3" 4/5 is a 6'2" long, athletic forward out of Valdosta HS in Valdosta, GA. She has the reach of a 6'4" or 6'5"player and has great spring in her legs. A good shot blocker. She would be a very good D2 catch but could be a good fit for the right D1 program looking for a promising tall, athletic project. 3 star Lauren Cook 5'6" from Harding Academy in Memphis showed why camp host Lipscomb wants her as well as several other schools.  A good shooter and penetrator who can finish with contact and makes excellent decisions in transition. A quick first step, good defense and a nice shooting touch help add to the package.   Chelsea Burroughs 5'8" combo Wilson Central , Lebanon, TN is quick, athletic, has great shooting range and accuracy and a quick release which will allow her to get that shot off on the next level. She is an excellent passer that has a great understanding of the game. Bianca Stitts is a 2 star rated 5'11" 4/5 out of Whitehaven HS in Memphis, TN. Athletic and strong, while undersized in the post makes up for it with quickness. 3 star rated Destiny Dishman led the Junior class. the 5'11" 2/3 hails from Stone Mountain HS in Crossville, TN. A long guard who can play inside or out. Great energy on both ends of the floor and excellent shooting range will get this young lady a D1 scholarship. 6'2" '09 2.5 star rated Alyssa Visbeen is from Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, TN. This thick, strong post has good post moves, is a good passer , is a decent shooter and understands the game. Her continued development could lead her to a D1 scholarship. 5'11"'09  Emily Erland is a 2.5 star long athletic 3/4 out of Harpeth HS in Kingston Springs, TN. She has good hands, good post moves and gets off the floor quickly. I was impressed with how she kept the ball up when rebounding offensively and could explode back up so quickly. While she may be a little undersized in the post her quickness creates mismatches. Defensively she has good feet and can guard smaller guards but has the strength to guard bigs.  2.5 star Nannah Phillips is a 5'11" '09 long 2 guard out of Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, TN. She has great size, handles the ball well and has a nice jump shot. Her size at her position is going to make some D1's have to take a gander. 3 star rated, 6'0 3/4 Karley Miller led the Sophomore class. An aggressive rebounder who is fundamentally sound. She has good range on her jump shot and also possesses very good post moves. We feel she has the potential to develop into a nice low to mid major player. 2.5 star , Cortisha Walker '10 5'5" combo out of South Laurel HS in London, KY is thick and quick. A good penetrator with a nice first step. Her strength coupled with her quickness gives her the chance to get some D1 looks in her future. 2.5 star '10 5'8" combo Hollie German out of Polk County HS in Benton TN is a solid guard who understands the game and has a real jump shot (In other words you can see some daylight under those shoes.). Leading the Freshman class was 3 star rated, 5'6" combo guard Haley Felker out of Harpeth HS in Kingston Springs , TN. A good sized guard who plays as if she were older. A very good shooter with lots of energy on both ends of the floor. We feel she has the potential to grow into a D1 level  player. 2.5 star, Layce Colter  is a 9th grade 5'7" combo out of Red Boiling Springs HS (TN) . Her nice outside shooting range and her advanced understanding of the game will take her far.
